Problem
The industry's inherent structural issues call for the establishment of a fresh funeral culture through innovative alternatives. There's a lack of safe spaces for people to fully experience, understand, and navigate their grief.
Solution
Offer an alternative solution for addressing the underlying issues within the funeral industry. Create a platform that not only caters to grieving for the deceased but also accommodates those who passed away amid socially controversial situations like political events, mental health struggles, and abuse.

As a former medical student, my longstanding desire has been to craft a UX project that honors those seeking innovative ways to be remembered after they are no longer with us. This heartfelt ambition originates from my time working in hospitals, where I encountered individuals who faced and prepared for death and those who remained, longing for the chance to rekindle precious memories, seeking closure in the process. I have a profound concern for the healing of individuals who are left behind by their loved ones. This includes people struggling with complicated grief disorders, those in need of guidance to navigate their grieving processes, and individuals who require support throughout their journey of grieving.
Furthermore, I've extended this project to encompass marginalized and underprivileged individuals. Having witnessed some of the most heart-wrenching and solitary departures, I aspire to commemorate their lives by providing a dignified space for their funeral services. This funeral space is also intended for those remembered by the broader community. In a world where people often come together on social media or in street protests to commemorate controversial deaths, I aimed to establish a safe haven for individuals seeking to pay their respects and find solace on a more personal and individual level.
The person you've wished to meet again, even in your dreams.
Please share the story of the person you miss the most from your memories.
"Meeting You," brings a new memorial hall experience, turning the day you've dreamed of into reality.

Rookie of the Year 2022 | Architectural Visualization
Overview
The "Meeting You" project introduces an innovative Funeral Space Design initiative located in Korea.
This inclusive space is purposefully designed to cater to the needs of both the deceased and the living, offering support to marginalized and underprivileged individuals, as well as providing solace to those deeply missed by their loved ones and remembered by the broader community.
This concept stands out with a distinctive approach separate from conventional Korean funeral halls. It envisions a unique space that encourages open sharing of emotions surrounding the departed, striking a balance between solemnity and a more approachable atmosphere.
In a world where digital solutions are increasingly sought after, from technology-driven transformations to expanding economic activities, the influence of the digital realm is anticipated to extend even to the realms of funerals and memorial services.
Meeting You is a Memorial VR Experience Hall that seamlessly combines digital technology with therapeutic spaces. This innovative setting provides individuals with the opportunity to immerse themselves, navigate, and sensitively understand the experience of grief.
